Arquiled held its first seminar under the theme "Energy Efficiency and Smart Cities"
Arquiled held its first seminar under the theme "Energy Efficiency and Smart Cities" on January 25th at the Casa das Histórias Paula Rego, in Cascais.
The event featured presentations by the mayors of Aljustrel, Leiria, and Vouzela municipalities that have successfully implemented LED technology in public lighting — as part of the panel on “Energy Efficiency and Operational Models.” Meanwhile, the Mayor of Cascais, Carlos Carreiras, the Director of the Institutional Relations Office at EDP Distribuição, Victor Tavares Morais, and the Mayor of Valongo, José Manuel Ribeiro, led the panel “Smart Cities: Intelligence Applied to Cities.” The seminar also included the presentation of Arquiled’s latest road and urban public lighting products Sculptor 100 | 200, Ara, Sextans, and Volans by the company’s Marketing Director, Paula Alves.
According to Arquiled CEO, Miguel Allen Lima, this is an event the company “intends to hold annually,” as he believes it is “a way for municipalities to learn about the benefits of LED public lighting, which can reduce energy bills by more than 60% and significantly cut CO₂ emissions.” Arquiled is a Portuguese company that manufactures and develops lighting solutions, with strong expertise in Public Lighting. It has been implementing the Smart Cities concept, based on pillars such as sustainability, safety, energy efficiency, intelligence, and connectivity.
