Portafolio explores Arquiled’s plans for Colombia… and for the world
According to António Calado da Costa, General Manager of Arquiled Colombia, the company chose Colombia as the first step in its international expansion due to the country’s significant energy-saving potential, with around five million luminaires. In the initial phase, the market entry strategy focuses on urban centers with more than 10,000 or even 20,000 inhabitants.
Calado da Costa expects Colombia to account for 30% of Arquiled’s revenue within three to five years and anticipates that, starting in 2020, sales and the development of new projects will grow steadily.
When asked how Arquiled can bring added value to the market, António Calado da Costa highlighted two key aspects: energy efficiency, which leads to economic savings, and the natural ability of LED luminaires to communicate with the Internet of Things. The company believes its solutions will make cities not only greener but also smarter.
