Full LED Lighting Project – Interior and Exterior of the Factory

Tabaqueira, a subsidiary of Philip Morris International in Portugal, is the leading company in the tobacco sector in the country and one of the largest companies nationwide.

The project aimed to fully implement efficient LED lighting, with management capabilities, in the production area where the tobacco leaf processing (known as the primary stage) takes place, as well as in the exterior areas of the factory.

The conditions of the facility itself, with its high ceilings and industrial environment typical of this type of installation, were the main challenges. These aspects required the lighting design team to pay special attention to illuminating areas hidden by industrial equipment and to selecting fixtures suitable for the harsh conditions of this type of industry.
