(1643 – 1727)
English physicist and mathematician Isaac Newton was instrumental in the scientific revolution of the 17th century.

His work "Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy," published in 1687, is considered one of the most influential in the history of science, where he describes the Law of Universal Gravitation and the three laws of motion that form the basic principles of modern physics.

His discovery of calculus paved the way for more powerful methods of solving mathematical problems.
